Nagarjunakonda-Buddhist Nostalgia
Nagarjunakonda is the world’s only dedicated Buddhist Island museum which is a perfect ticket to the past for those who dare to care about history. It is aptly named after the south Indian master of Mahayana Buddhism called Nagarjuna who lived in the 2nd century AD. Nagarjunakonda (konda means hill in local Telugu language) has both open-air diorama and a sheltered museum with original artefacts. The island has artefacts and monumental recreated Buddhist remains.
